1. POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of this internship is to provide a recent graduate with practical experience in warehouse operations, administration and business systems within the wine industry.

The graduate will gain exposure to day-to-day warehouse activities, stock control, data capturing, system administration and general supply chain processes while supporting the team in maintaining accurate and efficient operations.

2. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse & Stock Administration
  • Assist with daily warehouse administration and stock control activities.
  • Capture and maintain accurate stock movements on the relevant systems.
  • Assist with stock counts, reconciliations and investigations of discrepancies.
  • Assist with receiving, dispatching and movement of stock.
  • Ensure warehouse documentation is completed and filed correctly.
  • Assist with monitoring stock levels and identifying variances.
  • Support the warehouse team with general administrative requirements.
Systems & Data Management
  • Assist with capturing and maintaining information on the SAGE and other operational systems.
  • Ensure system information is accurate, complete and up to date.
  • Assist with identifying and correcting data discrepancies.
  • Generate basic reports from systems as required.
  • Assist with maintaining master data and product information.
  • Support the implementation and improvement of system processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through better use of systems and data.
Administration
  • Assist with general departmental administration.
  • Maintain accurate filing and record-keeping.
  • Assist with processing invoices, delivery notes, stock documentation and other relevant records.
  • Assist with preparing reports, spreadsheets and presentations.
  • Provide administrative support to the Supply Chain and Warehouse teams.
  • Ensure all documentation is processed accurately and timeously.
3. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse and administrative processes.
  • Assist with documenting standard operating procedures.
  • Support projects aimed at improving stock accuracy and system efficiency.
  • Assist with analysing operational data and preparing recommendations.
  • Participate in projects involving warehouse, administration and systems.
4. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum Qualification:
  • Relevant qualification in Warehousing, Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, Operations Management or a related field.
Experience:
  • Previous work experience advantageous
  • Previous exposure to warehousing, administration, ERP systems or data management will be advantageous.
